MARION DOLLOW nee LEIB
Hi Syd
Thank you for your e-mails, and the photograph of the School Choir (1949). I did know quite a few of the girls in that choir, as we were in the same class. However in my last year at School the classes were split up into the term of their leaving. The reason I was not in the choir photo was because my voice was not good enough!
I lived in Malvern Avenue, South Harrow and used to walk to school through the back entrance which was (if my memory serves me right) in Merlins Avenue. I believe the air raid shelters were in that area, and remember having quite a lot of my lessons in them.
I heard about your web site from my niece who happened to be browsing on the internet, and knowing that I went to Eastcote Lane School told me about the site. I lived in Malvern Avenue until 1957 when I moved away, but came back to Harrow a few years later and am now living in Kenton.
Hope you find this of interest, and thank you for publishing the photo of my 1950 Class.
Kind regards
Marion Dollow nee Leib
